In Case You Missed It, Here’s Another ‘Iron Man 3’ Trailer

iron-man-3-the-mandarin

One thing you can be sure of, Iron Man 3 is gonna be at least pretty good and, more to the point, make a lot of money. In fact, our prediction is it will make a killing, mostly due to pent up demand for another tase of The Avengers.

That’s not to say Iron Man 3 won’t be able to stand on its own, it’s just that The Avengers was so awesome, fans are hungry for more and will take a bit of Iron Man 3 and, when it hits, the Captain America sequel, until Avengers 2 arrives.

Turing our full attention to Iron Man 3, though, we’ve got another trailer for it to share with you today. It actually came out a couple day sago and yes, we missed it. Sorry about that. We have no excuse.

In this one you get a bit more info on just who The Mandarin really is and what he has in store for our iron-clad hero. Check out the trailer after the break and look for Iron Man 3 in theaters on May 3rd.

EA’s CEO John Riccitiello Steps Down

John-Riccitiello-EAIt broke late in the day yesterday that Electronic Arts would be losing their CEO John Riccitiello at the end of the month. In his stead, Larry Probst will be acting as Executive Chairman until a new CEO is named. (Think of Larry as Sean Bean in Game of Thrones after King Robert was killed by the wild boar… but of course without the whole beheading nastiness.)

For those that don’t know, Riccitiello has been CEO of EA since 2007 and has undergone lots of scrutiny during his time in the role. Early in his time as CEO, he divided up Electronic Arts into four separate parts: EA Games, EA Sports, EA Casual, and The Sims. He was also there when EA purchased the parent company behind Pandemic Studios and BioWare.

Unfortunately for Riccitiello, he was in power as CEO during the economic downtown in the nation which resulted in a huge drop in EA’s stock price as well as the failure to acquire TakeTwo, the owners of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Though some may try and point at the recent missteps in the SimCity reboot launch, it has been a series of events that likely lead to Riccitiello’s decision to step down.

Here is what EA had to say in a press release yesterday:

‘The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct’ Creeps on to Shelves Today

The Walking Dead Survival Instinct Cover Image

Been wondering exactly what happened to the Dixon brothers before meeting up with Rick Grimes in Atlanta? Well with The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct being tied into the AMC series, you’ll get some of those answers and you can get those answers today. Out today for XBox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and the Wii U is The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. If you take a look below, you get a better idea of what to expect from this stealth FPS experience.

It is fair to say that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has its work cut out for it. And not even because of anything that has been seen from the game before today. It is because it will inevitably be compared to Telltale’s The Walking Dead adventure game. Despite being different in almost every way from the art style to gameplay style and the continuity it chooses to follow, parallels will undoubtedly be drawn.

The hardest part will be people giving the game a fair shake and taking it for what it is doing which is trying to give a new experience by trying to combine stealth and FPS gameplay together while putting people in the world of the TV series they have become so invested in. (Hopefully Andrea doesn’t show up until the absolute end.)

Monday Freeview: ‘League of Legends’ for PC and Mac

League of Legends Cover Image

I know. Just the word Monday deeply depresses most people when they see it. But that’s why I bring you guys the Monday Freeview. To give you something to look forward to on the longest possible point before the weekend begins. And this week, we’ve got a big one for you: League of Legends.

With the Mac client finally going live, I decided to give one of the most famous Free-To-Play games on the internet a try. For those who don’t know what League of Legends is, it is technically considered a MOBA (or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) which is an offshoot of the RTS genre after the success of a Warcraft 3 mod that would go on to become DotA (Defense of the Ancients). Instead of worrying about the minutia of base building and resource management, players got to focus on what they all really carried about, playing as a hyper strong character and taking the fight to their enemy.

The ‘Resident Evil 6’ X ‘Left 4 Dead 2’ Crossover is Coming… Twice!

Resident Evil 6 Left 4 Dead 2 Cover image

Mention the word zombies in a room of gamers and two franchises instantly come to mind. Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead. While other zombie franchises have tried to claw their way to the top, these two from Capcom and Valve respectively sit atop the zombie food chain. With Capcom’s recent affinity for crossing over franchises with other publishers, it is great to see that they have come together with Valve to enable the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project.

In a completely free download, Resident Evil 6 PC players will be able to experience a new mode, “The Mercenaries No Mercy” featuring Left 4 Dead 2’s signature cast – Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle – as playable characters. Each will have a custom weapon load-out for the mode. Also making their debut to the Resident Evil world alongside the foursome of survivors are going to be the Witch and the Minitank. This mode will be going live on April 5th.

Check This Out: ‘Insane Office Escape 2’ is Awesome and Very NSFW

Insane-Office-Escape-2

We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting things to bring to you, our readers. This time around, we think we’ve really found something here.

In this video, from the Russian Punk Band Biting Elbows, comes this sequel to their first video for The Stampede aka Insane Office Escape a couple of years ago. This one is for their new song “Bad Motherf**ker” and is called, appropriately enough, Insane Office Escape 2.

But really, that title doesn’t do it justice. It’s more than insane as the sheer number of bad guys beat up, maimed, shot, bludgeoned or otherwise incapacitated is almost not to be believed. Plus, there’s more. A lot more. You just have to see it.

Check it all out after the break. And remember kids, this is definitely NSFW — unless you work in a really cool place.

Box Office Report: ‘Oz’ Continues to Impress as ‘Wonderstone’ Bombs

BoxOfficeBannenewComing as a surprise to no one, Oz: The Great and Powerful has come in first in the weekend box office for a second weekend in a row. The film is performing strong as the first blockbuster of the year, even if it is not reaching Alice in Wonderland or Hunger Games heights.  Still the film should get well over $200 Million domestically and exist as another nice win for Raimi and Disney.

In second place, the Halle Berry thriller The Call had a surprisingly strong debut. The film brought in just over $17 Million and is one of the stronger Halle Berry starring openings in quite a long time. The movie was cheap to make and easy to market so this is a really solid early year win for all of the people involved.

The winning stops at number two as the opening of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is anything but incredible or wonderful. Apparently the film is less funny than my word play and connected with audiences thusly. Comparing the film to other high concept comedies it falls fall below its peers. In fact it barely made 2/3rds of what the Will Ferrell bomb Semi-Pro made a few years ago.
