following siege

Paul, Jacob, and Emma are all sleeping in the same bed, as they start to wake up. Paul and Emma both think Jacob is freaking out about what happened the prior night. Jacob is in the bathroom as Emma and Paul cuddle in bed.

Joey sneaks downstairs and calls Claire using the hidden cell phone. He is able to describe the house he is in, but does not know where he is. Paul finds Joey and drags him away.

Check This Out: A New Trailer for ‘6 Souls’

6-Souls-Julianne-Moore-1

Personally, we feel Julianne Moore can do no wrong. She’s great in everything and as slightly older gingers go, she’s still got “it.”

So naturally, when she’s in a new movie, especially a horror movie, we take notice. We’re talking about the upcoming 6 Souls, from the guys behind The Ring. Here’s a synopsis:

After the death of her husband, Dr. Cara Harding’s (Julianne Moore) faith in God has been shaken, but not her belief in science. In an attempt to open her up to accepting unexplainable psychiatric theories, her father introduces her to Adam, a patient with multiple personalities who takes on some of the physical characteristics of his other personalities.

Cara quickly discovers that Adam’s other personalities are murder victims and the more she finds out about him and his past, the closer she and her loved ones are to becoming murder victims themselves.

Yikes, sounds scary. Look forward to seeing this one for sure when it arrives on demand March 1st and in theaters on April 5th. Check out the trailer after the break.

New HTC One Smartphone Announced

HTC-One-Hero-1

When I left Apple and AT&T for Verizon several years ago, the VZ iPhone had yet to be announced. So, my first Verizon experience was with an HTC Droid Incredible.

In short, I really liked it and from that moment on, I was a fan of HTC and their products. In fact, they continue to be my favorite Android smartphone manufacturer. Sorry Samsung.

So, good news for me (and the rest of you HTC fans out there) because this morning the new hotness known as the HTC One was finally unveiled. The device comes with a 4.7 inch Full HD 1080p display at 468 PPI, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz quad-core processor, an UltraPixel camera, Sense 5.0, 2GB of RAM, NFC, and a 2,300mAh battery.

Sounds great, right? The only downside for me, so far, is the list of potential carriers. At this point it looks like T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint will have the One, but no Verizon. Not that I was planning on switching to an HTC One from the iPhone 5, but it’s nice to have options.

Check out the full press release from HTC after the break as well as a shiny video that tells you more about this cool device.

Bungie and Activision Reveal ‘Destiny’

Destiny Key Art Cover Image

When the creators of the top XBox exclusive Halo franchise teams up with the publishing behemoth behind the Call of Duty franchise, at least on paper it is a recipe for success. After months of only hearing the project’s name Destiny, Bungie was finally ready to reveal just what it was during an event this weekend.

Below check out the first developer diary featuring the first concept art for Destiny. After spending a decade with Halo, Bungie looks to spend the next ten years working on Destiny. In the trailer, you’ll hear the start of the Destiny mythos. Unlike Halo where mankind was fighting back against an invading force, Destiny takes place in the aftermath of an invading force. Saved only by a figure known as the Traveler, the remnants of humanity struggle to survive.

TV RECAP: ‘The Walking Dead’ Episode 310 – ‘Home’

walking dead home

Rick is gathering material on one of the ramps above the prison. He is keeping eyes on Michonne, when he sees the woman in white down by the graveyard. He goes down to see her, but she disappears. She is now outside of the gates, and this time when Rick follows her, we do see that it is Lori. Lori is caressing Rick’s face, and we see a shot of Michonne looking at Rick, and he is just standing there by himself.

The Governor goes to see Andrea, commending her on her speech that rallied the townspeople. He tells Andrea that he is not going to retaliate against Rick’s crew, so long as they stay away. He says that he screwed up Woodbury, and is not fit to lead. But Andrea is. He needs some time to get himself together, and wants Andrea to fill in for him. At this point, I am wondering how naïve can Andrea actually be.

Check This Out: Trailer for NBC’s ‘Hannibal’

hannibal-nbc-Mads-Mikkelsen

I have to admit it, I’m skeptical. Surprised? You shouldn’t be.

As much as I’m a fan of the actor Mads Mikkelsen, the upcoming show with him as Hannibal Lecter just looks, well, kinda weak. Yes, I’m talking about NBC’s Hannibal, which depicts a young FBI Special Agent Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and his search for serial killers.

The catch? He’s getting advice from none other than Hannibal Lecter, the most dangerous serial killer of them all. See, the premise sounds pretty cool, it’s just the execution (no pun intended) that seems suspect.

Anyway, check out a teaser for the new show after the break and judge for yourself. Hannibal comes to NBC on April 4th.

Great Presidents in Geek Culture

Geek President Obama Superman

Happy Presidents Day Everyone! Or, those of you in the U.S. anyway. For the rest of you, happy Monday. You might find this interesting too.

In honor of the U.S.’s founding fathers (and those that have filled their shoes since) we are going to take a look at some of the most famous Presidential appearances in geek culture.

The Dead Presidents in Deadpool

With the most recent volume of Deadpool coming from Marvel’s “Marvel Now” campaign, Deadpool becomes an unofficial agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. to do the things that the agency needs done but cannot be officially affiliated with. In this first arc, Deadpool finds himself taking on the dead Presidents of the United States.

Not just one or two, but all of them. Teamed up with the ghost of Ben Franklin, the Merc with the Mouth chases down a wheel chair riding zombie FDR, dresses up as Marilyn Monroe for zombie JFK and goes head to head in a MMA ring against zombie Abe Lincoln to stop the dead Presidents under the leadership of zombie George Washington from taking back the USA.
