Like Bad Guys? This New ‘Daredevil’ Trailer Is For You

daredevil-kingpin-donofrio

As much as we are still somewhat skeptical, the more Marvel and Netflix put out about the upcoming Daredevil series, the more we’re being convinced it could be damn good. Case in point this week is a brand new trailer for the series featuring the blind lawyer turned vigilante Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil).

In it we get a lot of info about one of the most important characters in any story: the bad guy. Well, at least one of them anyway … Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. We also get some more insight into what makes Matt Murdock tick and what his plans for the city are. Of course, Kingpin may have other ideas. Other very violent ideas.

Daredevil, which stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and D’Onofrio, premieres on Netflix on April 10. Check out the trailer after the break.

There’s also the ever-present more.

Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the movie The Wrath of Khan and Joe’s pick of the Star Trek: The Next Generation classic two-part episode Unification.

Sam Raimi’s ‘Poltergeist’ Reboot Has a Trailer Or Two

poltergeist-2015-1

Another day, another trailer (or two) for the reboot of a movie you probably loved from the past. Case in point this time is Sam Raimi’s reboot of the Tobe Hooper classic Poltergeist.

To be fair, the reboot isn’t directed by Sam Raimi. The director is actually a guy named Gil Kenan, who’s known for films like Monster House and City of Ember. But since everyone knows Raimi’s name, especially in the horror world, it’s being touted as his film.

Don’t feel too bad for Kenan, though, we’re sure his check cleared and he does get directing credit on the actual film. Plus, we’re reasonably sure he did the job. He’s gonna be okay.

Anyway, the movie looks pretty scary, but also kinda like quite a few other horror movies of late. Still, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Check a couple trailer after the break. Look for Poltergeist, starring Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt and Jared Harris, to hit screens on July 24.
