First Trailer for ‘TMNT: Out of the Shadows’ Arrives

TMNTOutOfTheShadows_Logo

If you were born after 1980, the names Leonardo, Donatello, Rafael and Michelangelo aren’t just a bunch of names you ignored in fine arts class. For almost three decades, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a part of the lives of so many different generations with some of their iterations being better than others and their history in video games is no exception.

While the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is renowned as being one of the most difficult games on the NES (even though its key audience was kids), the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles four player arcade cabinet is one that hordes of us pushed quarter after quarter into and did so happily.

With the most recent version of TMNT hitting big on Nickelodeon and a Michael Bay (shudders…) feature film in the works, it’s no surprise that a new game would be making its way to consoles. Thankfully it isn’t based off the Michael Bay film but instead off the Nickelodeon franchise in TMNT: Out of the Shadows.

Carl asks Rick why they brought Michonne with them. Rick wants to keep her and Merle separate while he is not at the prison.

Google Maps for iOS Gets An Update

google-maps-ios-1

At one time or another, we’ve all needed to go somewhere, but didn’t know how to get there. Back in the old days, that probably meant a paper map and trying to plan a route or, in extreme circumstances, asking directions. And sometimes, things went wrong or didn’t work, and we ended up getting lost. Embarrassing to say the least.

Fortunately, those times pretty much ended with the advent of modern GPS navigation systems you could bring along with you in the car to make sure you didn’t end up someplace you didn’t want to go. Of course, the undisputed king of modern navigation and maps is Google. Sorry Apple.

And today, Google has given we iOS users a gift and updated its Maps application for iOS with several new features that make the app a bit more “personal.” The biggest change is in search, which now integrates with your Google contacts. Once you sign in to your Google account with Google Maps, the app will pull in the names and addresses from your contacts. These addresses will appear when you search for your friends or family members by name.

Google also added a new local feature that lets you search for nearby businesses by selecting categories such as restaurants, bars, gas stations and more. There’s also a new setting that lets you toggle between kilometers or miles. You can also leave that on automatic and it will choose for you depending on where you are.

Get the latest version of Google Maps for iOS in iTunes.

This New ‘Iron Man 3’ Trailer Is Pretty Awesome

Iron-Man-3-Stark

As most of you already know, Iron Man 3 will be the first Marvel Studios movie to come out after the mega-hit The Avengers. Of course, that means expectations will be extremely high for this third installment of the franchise. Early word on Iron Man 3 is that director Shane Black is focusing primarily on Iron Man and less on The Avengers and the bigger picture.

With that, and building the buzz, in mind, there’s a new trailer for the movie that’s dropped today. In it we see a bit of that focus as well as a whole bunch of ass-kicking action.

Gotta say it, we’re hooked. Can’t wait to see more. Look for Iron Man 3 in theaters on May 3rd.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Adds Two More Mutants to the Cast List

storm

The cast list for X-Men: Days of Future Past is starting to get a little ridiculous. Featuring the bulk of the cast from X-Men: First Class and significant portions of the original X-Men trilogy, the film is going to be the most jam-packed mutant spectacular this side of the funny books.

So the most recent casting news should not come as a huge surprise. Deadline is reporting that Bryan Singer has nabbed yet another classic X-Man for his upcoming new film:

Deadline has confirmed the actress will reprise her role as Storm in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past. There had been serious concern this wouldn’t work out, but I’m told it has. The X-Men: First Class will be bolstered by most of the original X-cast, including Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Hugh Jackman.

First Trailers for ‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ Surface

Assasin's Creed IV - Black Flag - Reveal Trailer

Last week we reported about the leaked image attached to the title Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. This new Assassin’s Creed game rumor lined up with previous statements about a new lead character and a new locale as well. Yesterday, Ubisoft revealed these rumors to be true with an official trailer revealing the game as well as a character trailer showing off the new protagonist Edward Kenway.

The first trailer starts off with Blackbeard (coincidentally, Blackbeard was who I researched to give the possible time frame that the events of the game will take place when looking at famous pirates in history). This means that the game has to take place before the events of Assassin’s Creed III since Blackbeard was dead by 1718. This could be an indicator that Desmond Miles may in fact not be the modern day protagonist for the game as well as Desmond’s memories took place chronologically.

This week we’re going to take a peek at Bombermine. No, don’t worry, it isn’t a Minecraft ripoff unlike 95% of XBox Indie Marketplace. It is actually a reimagining of the Bomberman series but in glorious MMO fashion. When you hop into Bombermine, you find yourself in a seemingly unending map with just a single bomb as you try to take out as many competitors as you can in each game’s 20 minute time period. Like classic Bomberman, players collect increased bomb capacity, bomb intensity and speed along with various other power-ups and power-downs.
