It looks like Funny or Die’s viral hit Drunk History may soon be a full fledged TV series. Comedy Central has request a pilot presentation of a Drunk History Across America.
The pilot is set to be produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy’s Gary Sanchez Prods. The trio will executive produce with Derek Waters, creator of the Drunk History series of shorts, Jeremy Konner, who directed them, and Owen Burke. Konner will also direct the pilot presentation.
Just like the web series, Drunk History Across America will feature historical reenactments that are based on the way the historical events are described by drunk narrators. The television show will expand on this idea by include some travel elements and interviews with city locals, who will drunkenly narrate local and personal history which. As with the current shorts, all the re-enactments will all be acted out by guest actors.

As other shows drop off the schedule (So long Undercovers and Outlaw), Chuck continues to stay on NBC’s Monday night lineup. Tonight is an all-new episode of the show, along with Chase and The Event, and we’ve got the previews for all three to get you in the mood.
First up on Chuck finds our hero has lost the ability to flash when he needs it most. Obviously this can present some problems for Chuck, but at least guest star Summer Glau is around to ease the pain (Or, increase it. We’ll see).
Then, we learn more about the attempt on the President’s life that was foiled in the pilot on tonight’s episode of The Event. President Martinez confronts Michael Buchanan desperately looking for answers and learns some very startling information. And, finally, Annie turns to one of the dangerous criminals she put away for information on tonight’s Chase.
Check out all three previews after the jump. The action, suspense and fun kicks off tonight at 8/7C with Chuck.

Great news for fans of Outsourced, The Event or Law and Order: Los Angeles, those shows have all been picked up for a full season by NBC. Getting what’s called the “back nine” green light means you will continue to see these shows for the rest of the current TV season. That is, if their ratings hold out.
In addition to these shows, a similar pickup for Chase is supposedly on the way as well as one for Chuck. Those announcements are expected later this week. Meanwhile, Undercovers is close to receiving an order for additional scripts but not additional episodes, at least for now.
In a statement about the decisions, NBC’s primetime entertainment president Angela Bromstad indicated that the network brass didn’t focus on the ratings when deciding what to do. “We are pleased with the quality of The Event, Law & Order: Los Angeles and Outsourced, and feel they are an important part of helping to re-build our schedule and our studio pipeline,” she said. “We believe in these new series and the creative auspices behind them.”
Let’s hope that’s true, especially in the case of Chuck and The Event, two shows we’ve definitely got programmed into The Flickcast’s office TiVo. As for the others, we’ve not really gotten into Law and Order and as Chris and Matt have expressed on the podcast, we’re not fans of Outsourced either. So, if those shows don’t make it we probably won’t be too disappointed.
Expect more developments such as this from NBC and the rest of the networks during the coming weeks.

We’ve been talking about NBC’s new show The Event show for quite some time here at The Flickcast. It looks to be a very interesting and compelling show that will hopefully, at least in some way, help ease the pain of not having Lost to watch any longer.
We’ve already brought you a metric ton of previews and even a first impressions of the pilot episode. Now we’ve got even more previews and interviews about the show to share today.
Before the videos, here’s an “offical” synopsis of the show to help set the stage:
The Event is an emotional, high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his would-be fiancée Leila (Sarah Roemer), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.
Sean’s quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including newly elected U.S. President Elias Martinez (Blair Underwood); Sophia Maguire (Laura Innes), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Leila’s shadowy father (Scott Patterson). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind.
Sounds cool, right? To see more, check out all the videos after the break. The Event blows our minds on September 20th.

Today we’ve got more previews for some of NBC’s new Fall shows to share with you. Some of these include The Event, Outsourced, Outlaw, Law and Order: Los Angeles and Undercovers. For The Event we have the two promos that aired during the Emmy telecast which give you even more clues to what The Event could be. We’re not telling, btw.
Next up is Outsourced with interview footage and clips from the series that give you a comprehensive sneak peek at the newest member of the network’s Thursday lineup. Then with Law & Order LA this new promo links East Coast with West as the cops and lawyers of SVU and LOLA get fans ready for the Fall. We’ve also got interview with cast members Corey Stoll and Skeet Ulrich as they discuss their characters on the show.
For Outlaw the supporting members of Cyrus Garza’s legal team dish on what it’s like working with Jimmy Smits, answer fan questions and give you a preview of the series. Friday has ended up being a day where we have a lot of previews for new and currently airing TV shows. This Friday is no exception as we’ve got a whole slew of new previews for upcoming Fall shows from our pals at NBC.
Among these shows are The Event, Outsourced, Chase, Outlaw and the news season of Donald “Your Fired” Trump’s The Apprentice. Yes, that show is still on and yes, his hair still looks like that. Move on.
Here’s the scoop on the previews:
· The Event: Check out the extended 2:30 promo for footage from the pilot and interviews with the cast that are sure to pique your interest.
· Outsourced: This very funny promo finds humor in the slight cultural differences that Outsourced is going to be poking fun at. Let’s just say the phrase “birthday suit” doesn’t translate well…
· Chase: The latest promo teaches us a little about US Marshal Annie Frost’s background. Her troubled life as a child is what drives her to catch the dangerous criminals we’ll see her pursuing.
· Outlaw: The sneak peek below takes you on set to talk to Jimmy Smits and the cast of Outlaw as they give you a comprehensive preview at the Friday series.
· The Apprentice: Donald Trump will be giving the winner of this season a second chance – a privilege that is not lost on the contestants.
Now doesn’t that all sound very interesting? For all the videos, click on through to the other side.

We often bring you previews of current and upcoming TV programs and today is no exception. Some of these shows are brand new for the Fall and some, in the case of Chuck, are not new but returning and we’ve already covered them quite a bit before.
Today, we’ve got previews for The Event, Chase, Undercovers and, as I said, Chuck. For The Event Nick Wauters has three videos from his production diary which give you access to the set and series star Jason Ritter. Next up on Chase stars Kelli Giddish, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Jesse Metcalfe and Rose Collins talk about the action-packed series.
For Undercovers we’ve got interviews with cast members Mekia Cox and Carter MacIntyre who talk about their characters and what the atmosphere is like on set. Last, but certainly not least, we’ve got a Chuck video where the cast and crew discuss the “bromance” between Chuck and his pal Morgan.
Check out all the videos after, of course, the jump. Look for all of these shows this Fall.

Missed Comic-Con in San Diego? Or, you were there and just missed one of the panels for a new NBC show called The Event? If you, you missed quite a bit.
As I indicated in my previous first impressions of the show, it has potential. Often, potential is enough for me and I will go ahead and check out more episodes of a show I think has it.
The Event seems to have a lot going for it and I think it may catch on with fans. However, don’t feel you have to take my word for it. Instead, why not let the cast of the show tell you about it. For that, we’ve got all kinds of videos of the cast, including Blair Underwood, Sarah Roemer, Jason Ritter and Laura Innes, doing just that
Check out all the interviews after the jump and see if they do anything for you. The Vent premieres on NBC in the Fall.

During San Diego Comic-Con today NBC showed the pilot for its eagerly awaited new Fall show The Event to an excited and appreciative crowd. The show is an ensemble drama with elements of 24, Lost and other good mystery programs of the past.
We will be bringing you a full review of the pilot soon so look for that. Until then I thought I would just throw out a few first impressions of the show to give potential fans more to go on.
The first thing that struck me about the pilot was something i thought of even before I saw it: the cast. NBC has assembled a diverse group of known and lesser-known actors including Blair Underwood, Laura Innes, Zelkjo Ivanek, Jason Ritter, Ian Anthony Dale and Sarah Roemer.
In the pilot each if them is given something do do and much to my happiness the pilot also manages to develop their characters in a short time. You are interested in them from the beginning and are almost immediately invested in their stories.
Also, the show has a high degree of production value and is well directed, edited and I enjoyed the score too. Obviously, you can’t tell everything about a show just from the pilot. A great pilot doesn’t always make for a great show.
However, in this case my feeling is that it will. NBC has put together a good team and a good show and I hope they can maintain the quality and the story promise they showed with the pilot.
Oh, in case you were wondering they don’t divulge what the event is during the pilot. I guess we’re just going to have to watch the show to find out. I know I will. The Event premieres on September 20th.

With Comic-Con coming up this week comes all sorts of new shows, panels and previews for new TV shows. One show we’ve been following for some time, The Event, and a relatively new one for us, Outsourced. Both look interesting and we are looking forward to seeing them once they debut in the Fall.
In the meantime, as we do often, we’ve got previews for both shows from our friends at NBC to share with you today. First up is The Event where we see The President being rather Presidential and demanding to know what The Event is all about. The President doesn’t know? When something is this Top Secret, you know it’s gonna be big. And by big I mean good.
Next up is Outsourced. In this preview we meet some of the actors from the show and learn more about their characters. I’m sure we’ve all had amusing experiences with customer service from other countries so this show should be pretty funny. Plus, interesting accents are always a plus.
Bonus: If you’re attending Comic-Con in San Diego, be sure to check out The Event panel, which will be taking place on Saturday, July 24th at 11:15a in Ballroom 6A. They will also be Tweeting the panel live so if you’re not in San Diego, you can follow the action that way.
Click through to check out all the videos for these two shows.
