brew-dogs-1

Chris and Joe are back once again this week with a brand new episode of The Flickcast. That’s right, four in a row! Amazing again and again. Speaking of amazing, this week’s episode (as they often do) includes lots of amazing topics covering all things geek.

Some of these include the new, awesome trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the fact that Tom Cruise isn’t such a bad guy, their predictions for the end of The Walking Dead and their love for craft beer.

Speaking of craft beer, Chris and Joe both picked the same thing this week. Shocking, right? That’s right, the guys both picked the show Brew Dogs, which airs on the Esquire Network. Check it out, it’s fun.

New ‘Grimm’ and ‘Dracula’ Tonight, So Here’s Some Previews

Grimm - Season 3

It’s week two for the brand new season of Grimm and the first ever season of Dracula, and things are off to a great start. This week features new episodes of both shows and, of course, we’ve got previews.

First up is Grimm where Nick has to deal with his hopefully soon to be post-zombie self. How will it go? Well, he may be getting better but you can bet he’s not out of the woods yet.

Then, on Dracula, Van Helsing and the titular blood sucker contemplate an alliance to combat their common enemy. Will this truce last long enough to do what needs to be done? It doesn’t seem likely.

All the action starts tonight at 9/8C with Grimm, followed by Dracula at 10/9C on NBC. Check out the previews and such after the break.

So Many Things to See at Stan Lee’s Comikaze

Things to see at Comikaze

This being my first year in Los Angeles, I am able to go to a lot of events for the first time. Even though I sadly missed New York Comic Con since it started, I have been able to attend things like WonderCon, VidCon and will be attending my first Stan Lee’s Comikaze. I always love my first time at a new con and this one looks like it is going to be an awesome one. I have a bunch of friends hosting and appearing on panels, there look to be some awesome exclusives on the floor and I will be attending a con for the first time officially as a panelist.

First off, I’ll take care of my shameless plug. I am going to be on the panel for That Cosplay Show. With my job, I have been lucky enough to get in touch with so many people in the cosplay world that they invited me to be on their panel. (No, I will not be in cosplay for it.) The panel will take place Sunday, November 3rd at 11 AM in room 308AB. The description reads: ” World premiere of a new series called “That Cosplay Show,” A totally unreal look at the lives and challenges faced by those who strive to emulate their favorite super heroes starring Khary Payton, Grant Imahara, Stephanie Lemellin, and Chloe Dykstra.”

TV RECAP: ‘The Walking Dead’ Episode 403: ‘Isolation’

Walking Dead 403 Pic

In this episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead Tyreese demands that Rick find out who killed Karen and David. When Rick is not as gung-ho about finding the killer as he feels he should be, Tyreese punches him twice. Rick snaps and beats the holy hell out of Tyreese. Daryl of all people calms the situation.

Everyone that was in the cellblock where the infection first started is now sick, including Dr. S and Sasha. There is no stopping the sickness, but it may be able to be treated with antibiotics. Daryl and Michonne volunteer to go to a vet school about 50 miles away to try and find some medicine. Children and the elderly will be quarantined for their safety.

Tyreese seems to be going a bit nuts, and tells Rick if he doesn’t find the killer today, than Tyreese will find them himself. Meanwhile, Glenn is also sick. Herschel leaves quarantine, but Carl insists on going with him. Rick left Carl “in charge” of quarantine, and it seems to be going to Carl’s head.

Herschel is collecting some berries as Carl stands guard. They find a couple of walkers, but nothing to worry about. Maggie scolds Herschel for being outside, but Herschel knows he can do something to help the infected. If he is risking his life no matter what he does, he may as well do it helping others.

Here’s the First Trailer for ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

x-men-days-of-future-1

Say what you will about Bryan Singer’s take on the X-Men, but at least his was way better than what that other guy did with X-Men: Last Stand. Jeez, what a mess that was.

And don’t get us started on his desire to do a Battlestar Galactica movie. We’ve covered that, but it’s not the point right now. This is about the X-Men.

Anyway, Singer has been working on a new X-Men movie, a sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s excellent X-Men: First Class, and now there’s a new trailer for it for all to see.

In it we get a good look at the movie and the mutants who will be joining forces to battle the Sentinels. And yes, that list is pretty impressive.

Check out the trailer after the break. Look for X-Men: Days of Future Past to hit theaters on May 23, 2014.
