Drunk History is back on the web, but this time they’re showing the holiday spirit with guest stars Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, and Jim Carrey.
The mother of all video game fan films has arrived as the Left 4 Dead flick hits the web. Be sure to stick around till the end for some awesome gaming cameos.
Speaking of fan films, we stumbled across the best real life gaming adaptation in the history of the web. Say hello to Battlefield 3 In Real Life.
It’s Christmas time everywhere in the world (well, almost everywhere), even in Arkham City. But instead of visits from a man in red, they get a famous caped crusader.

Video game composing is fast becoming a significant player in the entertainment scoring world. As games become increasingly cinematic we are seeing more opportunities for the composers of these projects to get more recognition and exposure. The best example of this is Oscar winning composer Micheal Giacchino who first turned heads with music from the Medal of Honor series.
Aside from the changing perception of video game soundtracks, I also wanted to give this score a listen because Batman has long had an amazing history with film and TV music. Dating all the way back to the Adam West series, the music associated with the Bat has been an eclectic mix of styles and sounds that seem to all work perfectly with the capped crusader. So does the new video game live up to those lofty standards? Do we have another worthy addition to the Bat-Music pantheon?
The first thing you will notice about the soundtrack is that it is front loaded with songs, these are the “big draw”, but not what I am interested in. We will come back to these later. The score portion of the soundtrack begins about halfway down the track list. The music is written by Nick Arundel who has some video game experience, but not many listed credits I can find. Hopfully the high profile nature of this game and the quality of his music will change that.

Warner Interactive and DC Comics announced today that as of November 1st, gamers will be able to download Nightwing as a playable character in Batman: Arkham City. The downloadable content pack will run for 560 Microsoft Points ($6.99 in the PSN Store), and include two new challenge maps – Wayne Manor and the ‘Main Hall’. Nightwing, much like the downloadable Robin character, will come with his own unique weapons and gadgets to put to use against the thugs in Arkham City.
In keeping with the ‘bonus skins’ available, the Nightwing DLC will also contain an alternate Animated Series character model. It was also announced recently that the pre-order Robin bonus (granted to those who reserve the game at Best Buy) will be available to the masses on November 22nd for the same price.
Aside from a robust amount of downloadable goodies, it has also come to light in the past few weeks that the cast of Arkham City will be much larger than some may have expected. While villains like The Penguin, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze and The Riddler have all received their own trailers, many of Batman’s foes within the game have yet to step fully into the spotlight. It has been confirmed that, in addition to all of the above, the following members of the Rogues Gallery will appear in-game: Calendar Man, Poison Ivy, Solomon Grundy, Bane, the Mad Hatter, DeadShot, Talia Al’Ghul, Black Mask, and of course, Prof. Hugo Strange.
Check out the gallery after the jump for the images and videos released so far for the new heroes and villains of Batman: Arkham City – available October 18th, 2011.

Warner Brothers released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham City today, prominently showcasing Harley Quinn and the Joker’s new look. The Clown Prince of Crime has definitely seen better days, having become almost as disfigured as Two-Face after his encounter with the Titan serum from Arkham Asylum. In true Joker fashion, however, he is as maniacal as ever – giving BatFans even more reasons to be excited for this title.
Dialogue in the trailer hints that the conflict between the Dark Knight and Joker may be “Coming to an end;” and since this will be voice actor Mark Hamil’s final portrayal of the iconic clown (though he has hopes for one more project), we may experience their final battle in the upcoming release.
Check out the new trailer below – Batman: Arkham City releases on October 18th, 2011 in North America, and on the 21st in the UK.

For 20 year now (don’t mind the lack of math smarts in the interview), Kevin Conroy has been the go-to guy for the voice of Batman. From the original Animated Series back in 1991 to Justice League and Justice League Unlimited to the series of DC Animated films and finally 2008’s Batman: Arkham Asylum, Conroy has been the choice.
With that game, fans of the character were able to finally live out their fantasy and play as Batman in the most exciting and realistic Batman game every put together. Not enough? Well the folks at Rocksteady Games are doing it even bigger with this year’s release of Batman: Arkham City.
We managed to catch up to the man himself and talk about his latest work as the Dark Knight, what we can expect to see in the game, and just who he may be taking down in this highly anticipated sequel.
Check out our interview after the jump. Batman: Arkham City arrives in game stores everywhere on October 18th.

Though he may have been considered a joke when a certain former Cailifornaian Governor portrayed him back in the 90s, Mr. Freeze is a pretty bad ass member of Batman’s rogues gallery.
With a touching backstory and awesome gimmick, you could understand why the fine folks at Rocksteady and WB Games would want “the ice man” to be a villain in the upcoming sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum.
From what we can tell, Freeze joins in the fight against Bats with fellow Arkham convicts The Riddler, Hugo Strange, and our old pal The Joker returning for more action.
We’ve got a brand new trailer in which Bats (played by the one and only Kevin Conroy) and Mr. Freeze have some pretty intense words, and even throw a few punches.
Check out the trailer after the jump and be sure to get on the Arkham City bandwagon as the game hits theaters October 21st.

While most of the focus is actually on the comics of this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, a few multimedia franchises are making some big waves in the fan world as well. One of those properties is the highly anticipated sequel to Warner Bros and Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Asylum known as Arkham City.
We got the chance to talk with some of the talent attached to the game, including Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, but one surprise guest was Castle star Stana Katic, who announced that she will be voicing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of villain Ra’s al Ghul,
This came as a pretty big surprise to both fans of ABC’s Castle and those looking forward to the upcoming Arkham City. We got the chance to speak with Stana about her role, what brought her to the part, and if we can expect to see Talia’s father make an appearance in the game.
Check out our exclusive interview after the jump and keep it here all weekend for more coverage of San Diego Comic-Con International 2011.

Yes, E3 has a lot of games to demonstrate and attract the attention of gaming enthusiasts. It also has a lot of hardware to dazzle the eye and entice your wallet open.
One such piece of hardware is the Batarang Controller from Power A for the XBox 360 and PS3. Yes, you read that right: It’s a controller made in the shape of the famed Batarang made famous by none other than Batman himself.
Here’s more info from the official release from Power A:
Developed by Rocksteady Studios and based on DC Comics’ core Batman property, Batman: Arkham City, batman fans will revel in the authenticity of the design of the Batarang, while gamers will appreciate the comfort and performance that POWER A brings to these one-of-a-kind controllers.
The Batarang controller for PS 3 is wireless with reverse analog sticks and a Batman-themed USB RF receiver. The Batarang controller for Xbox 360® is a wired controller with a 10-foot / 3m inline release cable.

All things video games will be blowing up in the next week as Los Angeles is taken by storm with E3 news and announcements. We’ve got a few tidbits already before the show even happens, such as this little nugget about Catwoman being an official playable character in the upcoming Batman open-world game Batman Arkham City.
The game is written as a sequel to the massively popular third-person game Batman Arkham Asylum, in which you portrayed the Dark Knight (voiced by Kevin Conroy) as he took down some of the most well known names in his rogues gallery.
In this game, The Joker (voiced possibly for the last time by Mark Hamill) breaks free from captivity, again, to wreak havoc on the townspeople of Gotham City. The big news here is that the game will get a bit more female, as Catwoman has been announced as a playable character for several levels, instead of playing as Batman for the entire game.
Not only has this feature been announced, but there’s even a pretty hot video circulating around the web showing off the Cat of 9 Lives and how elastic and flexible she can be when taking down the thugs of Gotham.
Check out the video after the jump, and catch Batman Arkham Asylum on shelves October 18th.

Probably one of the most anticipated games of 2011, any kind of footage or information for Batman: Arkham Asylum is getting gobbled up by fans the moment it hits the web. A few months ago, we got the first trailer for the game, which didn’t show us much. Now we’re finally getting some gameplay.
In this new trailer, we see not only some new villains make an appearance, such as Catwoman, Two Face, Hugo Strange, and Joker, but some great new features in what looks to be an almost open-world style game. Basically, what would Grand Theft Auto be like if you were Batman.
Some great new features have been added that we can pick up on, including the ability to practically fly through Gotham City with the use of the grappling gun and Batman’s cape-gliding skills, and some advanced combat skills.
Sadly, still no word on whether local or online multiplayer will be added in this sequel, but we still have a solid 6 months before the game is released on October 18th.
Check out the all-new extended trailer after the jump, and let us know what you think!
