Over the years, Syfy has evolved into a great network for original programming. Two examples of this are the series Warehouse 13 and Defiance.
Both have brand new episodes next Monday and, as we often do, we’ve got previews and interviews for said episodes to share with you today. First up is Defiance where a mysterious plague strikes, carried by Irathients, but affecting only humans.
Next, on the new Warehouse 13, Pete and Myka go undercover in the suburbs, while Claudia and Artie must help a young savant. Looks like both these episodes are a must-see for fans. We’ll be watching for sure.
All the fun starts at 9/8C on Syfy with Defiance. Click through to check out all the clips and interviews for both shows.

Loof for Defiance and Warehouse 13 on Mondays starting at 9/8C on Syfy.
It should be no surprise that we support Sci-Fi around here. Even when it’s spelled Syfy. Regardless of how you spell it, a cool syfy show is a cool sci-fi show.
Two of these cool shows are Warehouse 13 and Defiance, which has just been renewed for a second season. Both air on Monday nights on Syfy and we’ve got preview for Monday’s new episodes to share with you today.
First off, during an all-new Defiance, Amanda & Nolan take a transport across the badlands to transport a prisoner. Of course, things don’t go as planned. Shocking, right?
Then on Warehouse 13, it’s a black-and-white, noir episode with guest stars Missi Pyle and Enrico Colantoni. Those crazy kids from Galaxy Quest back together again. Good times indeed.
It all start Monday at 9/8C on Syfy with Defiance followed by Warehouse 13. Check out all the previews after the break.
Even though they ended up changing their name, let us not forget that Syfy used to be called Sci-Fi and did, in fact, care about the genere we all know as, well, Sci-Fi. Returning to their roots, the channel has a new, upcoming drama called Defiance.
The show takes place in a future Earth ravaged by interstellar war and inhabited by surviving humans and aliens. To get your interested in it, we’ve got a clip/preview for the show below.
Defiance stars Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Fionnula Flanagan, Mia Kirshner and Graham Greene. Some people in that list you should recognize.
We think it looks pretty good. What say you America (and elsewhere)? Look for Defiance to premiere on Syfy in April of 2013.
With the next generation of gaming’s announcement looming over E3 2013 after both Microsoft and Sony were silent during this year’s expo, the focus has changed for game’s of this year’s E3 being innovators in their own right. While game’s like Scribblenauts Unlimited promise to give players more creative options in the way they solve puzzles, other titles like Defiance promise to span across different forms of media in a truly unique scenario.
Way back in the Star Wars Galaxies MMO, players would experience player events which promised an impact on the future story of the game based upon how the playerbase performed. If more Rebels completed a mission, they would earn more benefits for their factions in the coming months. Defiance looks to take the roots of this premise and expand it in a way never before seen.
Defiance is going to be an MMOTPS (Massive Multiplayer Online Third Person Shooter). This isn’t the first time an MMO shooter has been attempted as Planetside came out years ago and had a relative degree of success, enough that Planetside 2 is on its way. Unlike Planetside, Defiance will take place on earth and include PvE (player vs. environment) gameplay and not just straight PvP. But that’s not the defining feature that looks to set Defiance apart. In addition to being a game produced by Trion Worlds and coming to XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and the PC, it will concurrently launch with a series for SyFy TV.
