After taking a week off, we’re back with an all-new episode of The Flickcast. We’ll try not to take any more time off, but no promises. Hey, we have lives too.
Anyway, on this week’s show, Chris and Joe discuss and debate The Expendables 3, the upcoming HBO series Westworld, the look of the new stormtroopers (and more) from Star Wars: Episode VII, TV series like The Last Ship, The Strain and Outlander and yes, even the relative merits of Jedi facial hair. Of course, that’s not all they talk about. There’s also the usual “more.”
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the FX series The Bridge and Joe’s pick of Portland hot spot Pip’s Original Donuts.
As always, if you have comments, questions, critiques, offers of sponsorship, or whatever, feel free to hit us up in the comments, on Twitter, at Facebook, Google+ or via email.

FX is doing a great job keeping our interest in its upcoming new series The Bridge. We’ve had a few promos for the show before and with each one, the anticipation keeps building and we’re really looking forward to the show. This is marketing done well.
To keep things going, we’ve got several more videos promoting the show to share with you today. In these, which have cool names like “Carpenter, “Horses”, “Coyote” and “Corner,” we learn a bit more about the world of The Bridge and also the creepy/cool vibe the show is going for.
Judging from these new promos, and the ones before, the creators have succeeded. The series, which stars Demián Bichir and Diane Kruger, premieres July 10th at 10PM E/P on FX.
The new videos are after the break.

We’ve been watching the FX original series The Americans since it premiered. We love the show and are glad it’s coming back for a second season.
But this post isn’t about The Americans. It’s about another show that’s been teased during episodes of The Americans. That show is the upcoming FX drama The Bridge which, to be honest, has us very intrigued.
We haven’t had much info about the show up til now, but fortunately today FX has sent us four promos for it and we, of course, are bringing them to you.
Not only that, we have a bit more info regarding the shows’s plot as well. Here it is:
Demián Bichir stars in the role of “Marco Ruiz,” a homicide investigator for the state of Chihuahua, Mexico living in Ciudad Juárez. A family man, Marco is one of the last good men in a corrupt and apathetic police force that is outgunned by the powerful drug cartels. He’s sharp, charming, and observant and painfully aware that his city is in a state of chaos. When a body is dumped on the bridge that spans the El Paso-Ciudad Juárez border, Ruiz is forced to work with his American counterpart, Detective Sonya Cross (Diane Kruger).
Check out the new videos after the break. Look for The Bridge to premiere on FX on July 10.

Oh Nancy Botwin, what have you gotten yourself into now? Oh wait, I already know. First, your husband dies and you have to turn to selling pot to make ends meet.
Then, you risk everything for a relationship with a known drug dealer and also have his illegitimate child. Oh, your youngest son also manages to bump off your baby daddy’s chief handler so she won’t be in the way. Too much to imagine? Nope, just another day for the folks over at Weeds.
With last season’s great cliff hanger ending still fresh in our memories this new season of the show, its sixth, promises to be even more fun. In this new trailer for it we see that although Nancy and the gang are in different surroundings, they are still the same awesome band of lovable misfits we’ve come to know and watch every week.
Click through for the trailer. Weeds begins its new season on August 16th only on Showtime.

We’re about 3 months away from the August 16th premiere of Weeds Season 6, yet Showtime is already ramping up their marketing for the newest season with a brand new teaser showing Mary-Louise Parker rocking out to an indie track by April Smith & The Great Picture Show.
Last we left the family Botwin, things got pretty heavy when Shane (Alexander Gould) committed the unthinkable. There hasn’t been much speculation on where the series is headed this season, aside from the fact that Linda Hamilton will be joining the cast in the short-term.
From what we can gather in the cryptic teaser, Nancy seems to be burying everything that has to do with Esteban (Demian Bichir) including a gun, cell phone, and the infamous croquet bat.
Check out the teaser after the jump, and join Weeds on Showtime as “The plot deepens” on August 16th.
