It’s that time again. Time for a brand new episode of The Flickcast. This week we’re doing our “Being Thankful” episode just in time for the Monday following Thanksgiving.
Better late than never, right? Plus, it is Cyber Monday, after all. So . . . On this week’s episode Chris and Joe talk about, you guessed it, what they’re thankful for this year and in general. Naturally, the talk turns to various films, television and pop culture and, sadly, spills over onto COVID a bit too. What did you expect?
Some of these non-covid topics include Star Wars, Star Trek, The Mandalorian, Netflix movies and series such as Enola Holmes and The Queen’s Gambit and lots of music and more. And, of course the usual even more.
It’s a packed episode chock full of thankful goodness and positive positivity. Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for listening.
WARNING: This episode may contain discussions about COVID-19, mental health and quarantine. We understand not everyone is in a place to talk about or hear discussions surrounding these issues. Please do what’s best for you. Stay safe everyone.
As always, if you have comments, questions, critiques, offers of sponsorship or whatever, feel free to hit us up in the comments, on Twitter, Instagram or, yes, even Facebook. Or shoot us an email. We don’t mind.

After a brief hiatus last week (sorry about that) there’s another new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. We know it was tough last week without a new episode. We’ll try not to disappoint you again.
On this week’s episode, Chris and Joe discuss and debate a whole bunch of stuff including the amazing new trailer for The Force Awakens, the Daredevil series on Netflix, the not-so-stellar Batman v. Superman trailer and, of course, a whole lot more, more, more. And it’s not even your birthday. You’re welcome.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the military sci-fi novel Terms of Enlistment by Marko Kloos and Joe’s pick of the short film This Is Not What You Had Planned.

That’s right, it’s an all-new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. We’re back to being on a roll: two weeks in a row!
On this week’s episode Chris and Joe discuss a bunch of new and recurring topics. Some of these include the newly released teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the Flash / Arrow crossover epic extravaganza, new thoughts on the mid-season finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead and a whole lot more, more, more.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of director Peter Hyams’ film Capricorn One
and Joe’s pick of the still-in-beta Google Inbox. (If you need an invite, drop Joe a line. He might be able to hook you up.)

That’s right folks, it’s that time. Time for the brand new teaser for the trailer for the next Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. And at only about 88 seconds, quite a tease it is.
In it you do get a few glimpses of some of the new faces coming up in the new movie. You also get to revisit some old friends (at least one) in the form of the ever-reliable Millennium Falcon.
You know the ship. It made the Kessel run in less than twelve parsecs. That is, if you believe a certain scoundrel’s account of past events.
At any rate, it’s here and it’s after the break. And yes, we kinda dig it and yes we’re pretty darn excited for the movie. But really, who isn’t?

It’s an all-new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. Eight new ones in a row. Come on, that’s gotta be a record. Or, at the very least, damn cool.
On this week’s episode Chris and Joe discuss a bunch of new and recurring topics. Some of these include the next Star Wars movie, the upcoming Evil Dead TV series on Starz, Net Neutrality, movies, TV, comics and whatever else they happen to think of at the time. Of course, there’s always that “more” too.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of director Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar and Joe’s pick of a podcast called EOS 10.

It’s an all-new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. Seven new ones in a row. It really, really must be some kind of record.
On this week’s episode Chris and Joe discuss a bunch of new and recurring topics. What are these new and recurring topics you may ask? Well, we could tell you, but where’s the fun in that? You can probably guess what one of them is, at least, if you look really closely at the above photo.
Don’t worry if you don’t know what’s happening in advance. It’s ok. Rest assured, this episode is a good one.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of director David Ayer’s End of Watch and Joe’s pick of renowned comic book writer Dan Slott. We’ve even got a special guest pick for you too.

After taking a week off, we’re back with an all-new episode of The Flickcast. We’ll try not to take any more time off, but no promises. Hey, we have lives too.
Anyway, on this week’s show, Chris and Joe discuss and debate The Expendables 3, the upcoming HBO series Westworld, the look of the new stormtroopers (and more) from Star Wars: Episode VII, TV series like The Last Ship, The Strain and Outlander and yes, even the relative merits of Jedi facial hair. Of course, that’s not all they talk about. There’s also the usual “more.”
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the FX series The Bridge and Joe’s pick of Portland hot spot Pip’s Original Donuts.

Yes, we like a challenge. So much so, in fact, that we often wait until the very last minute to get the show recorded, edited and released for all to enjoy. That’s just the nature of things and it makes life a bit more interesting. Well, we think so anyway.
Which brings us to now and this brand new episode of The Flickcast. You kinda figure that out, huh?
On this week’s show Chris and Joe dive in and talk all-things Star Wars including Harrison Ford’s health problems, schedule issues, celebrity cameos and more. They also talk about the season finale of Game of Thrones, Back to the Future, Nathan Fillion’s superhero prospects and the state of modern entertainment “journalism.” Hint: It sucks. Mostly.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the movie The Machine and Joe’s pick of a beer called Rocket Dog IPA from the folks at Laughing Dog Brewery.

It’s Wednesday and that means a brand new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. Like last week, we worked hard on this one. Although, not quite as hard.
We’re kinda slackers, truth be told. But still, it is a pretty good episode.
On this week’s show Chris and Joe get right to the point and discuss the latest Game of Thrones happenings, the Harrison Ford deathwatch, Justice League, er, um Superman vs. Batman casting, the upcoming DC movie slate, beer, food, sex, drugs and rock and roll. Well, maybe not those last few. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention.
They do discuss a lot more, as usual. And no, the guys don’t really do anything special to commemorate the 250th episode. Maybe at 300.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the new novel by Daniel H. Wilson called Robogenesis (the sequel to Robopocalypse) and Joe’s pick of season two of the TV show Brew Dogs.
As always, if you have comments, questions, critiques, offers of sponsorship, or whatever, feel free to hit us up in the comments, on Twitter, at Facebook, Google+ or via email.

Hey, we know you’re upset. We are too. But sometimes, things just can’t be helped. So, this episode is a bit late. We’ll try not to let it happen again. But you know what, it probably will.
But until then, we’ve got a brand new episode of The Flickcast for your listening pleasure. Please try to enjoy it.
On this week’s show Chris and Joe jump right in and talk all about the new cast announcements and leaked set picks from Star Wars VII, set pics and more from Terminator: Genesis, the relentless darkness that is Game of Thrones, the Stargate reboot, Val Kilmer’s career, recent Apple announcements and a whole lot more.
The guys also made picks this week. Chris’ pick is one of his favorite gadgets, the iPad Mini with Retina Display, and Joe’s pick is the new album from former Bourgeois Tagg member Brent Bourgeois called Don’t Look Back.
