There are more and more lovably despicable characters on TV these days. William H. Macy retains one of those slots for his character on Showtime’s Shameless, while the honor also goes to Danny McBride’s Kenny Powers on HBO’s Eastbound and Down.
While we got plenty of his poor language and bad attitude in the massive K-Swiss ad campaign, we haven’t gotten the real Kenny Powers unfiltered since the last season of Eastbound and Down.
Well, lucky for you, the third season is hitting our airwaves on February 19th, so we’ll get it all back again. Just in case that isn’t enough for you, we’ve got a brand new trailer of McBride’s Powers mouthing off to a handful of poor kids.
Take a look at it after the jump.

Since the early 90s, babysitter films have become a lost art. Films like Adventures in Babysitting, Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, and several others with the occupation in the title have faded away into 80s obscurity. Until now.
The ever mass-changing Jonah Hill has got a brand new movie to promote, in which he’s finally the lead, and he’s the world’s worst babysitter. Here’s the premise:
A comedy about a college student on suspension who is coaxed into babysitting the kids next door, though he is fully unprepared for the wild night ahead of him.
The beauty is in its simplicity, really. Directed by Eastbound and Down creator David Gordon Green, the film will definitely raise a few flags in terms of “child endangerment”, but that may just work in its favor.
Check out the full red band trailer after the jump, and catch Hill in The Sitter on December 9th.

Imagine a world where the characters from Pineapple Express and Lord of the Rings clashed. That’s exactly what Danny McBride and his writing partner Ben Best had in mind when they gave birth to the idea which became Your Highness.
The synopsis is just about what you’d think this team could come up with after getting really stoned and reading old Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks.
Thadeous (Danny McBride) is a lazy, arrogant prince with his brother, Fabious (James Franco) must go on an epic quest in order to save their father’s kingdom. Natalie Portman plays a warrior princess who is also the lazy prince’s love interest. Zooey Deschanel plays Belladonna, Fabious’ virginal bride. Justin Theroux plays Leezar, the evil wizard who kidnaps Belladonna. Michael Clarke Duncan plays the Giant Troll.
Pretty funny, right? That’s what we thought. We’ve got some pretty awesome clips for you this week so be sure to check out the first batch after the jump.
Catch Your Highness and all of its antics in theaters on April 8th.

Kenny Powers is back mofos and he’s ready for action. That’s right, Season Dos of Eastbound and Down is ready and this time around Kenny and company will be heading down to Mexico for what promises to be more foul mouthed fun.
To get you excited for the new season, we’ve got the first full trailer for it to share with you today. In it, you see that not that much has changed and that Kenny still remains a crude, yet lovable, slob with delusions of grandeur.
In case you’re not familiar with the show, it features Danny McBride as Kenny Powers, a has-been professional baseball player who is constantly getting himself in trouble. The first season ended with Kenny leaving his girlfriend at a gas station as he goes off to Mexico to play baseball. The second season is sure to be filled with even more hijinks and crass stunts perpetrated by Kenny.
Check out the trailer for Eastbound and Down Season Dos after the jump. It returns to HBO on September 26 at 10:30/9:30C.

That’s right, Season “Dos.” Kenny and company will be heading down to Mexico for this round of Baseball, a rather inspired move for the crass comedy.
Why not take a foul-mouthed, cocky ballplayer who doesn’t understand (or care) about being politically and racially sensitive and send him down to play a little ball in Mexico?
What could possibly go wrong? You know that Kenny will wreak havoc and squander good will wherever he may go. He’ll have the locals chasing after him with pitchforks in no time.
Eastbound and Down stars Danny McBride as a has-been professional baseball player who is constantly getting himself in trouble. It is rude, crude, and absolutely hilarious. If you have not caught the first season yet, season one is available on DVD and Netflix.
Eastbound and Down will return to HBO on September 26 at 10:30pm. Check out the poster and two brand new clips after the jump.

For just about all of 2008, Danny McBride ended up being the most ubiquitous screen comedian out there based on his cameos in Fanboys, Drillbit Taylor, Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder and more. Things got a little more quiet in 2009, as he had a starring role in Land of the Lost and the original HBO series Eastbound and Down. Now it looks like things may be picking back up for the foul-mouthed actor.
According to Pajiba.com, the story of his latest comedy is basically set up to be “What if Kenny Powers was in Wedding Crashers?”:
The project is The Chadster, which at one time had The Hangover’s Todd Phillips attached to both produce and direct. Phillips has fallen off as director, but he’s still producing the comedy, which is moving ahead with Eastbound co-writer Shawn Harwell as scribe.
The studio wedding comedy, set up at Warner Brothers and produced by Phillips’ Green Hat Films, is about a best man who has his position threatened when an eccentric, long-lost childhood friend shows up at the wedding and causes trouble.
With this news coming in, a second season of Eastbound & Down on the way, McBride starring in an adaptation of the comic book Hench, and the actor popping up in another 5 films over the next year, it seems 2010 will be a repeat of 2008 for Danny McBride.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, veteran actor and alumni of Deadwood, one of the greatest TV shows of the last decade, and Eastbound and Down, one of the funniest, will be joining the cast of Lost for its final season as a recurring character. Hawkes will play a character called Lennon on the show but according to the trade, the producers of Lost won’t reveal any other information about him.
However, that didn’t stop THR from digging a bit deeper. According to the casting breakdown that went out for the role, Lennon is a “scruffy, edgy and charismatic spokesperson and translator for the president of a foreign corporation who is far more powerful than it seems from his position.”
Well, that does sound interesting and not at all vague. Can you detect my slight sarcasm there? But really, I’m just joking because in our quest to bring you news and information, we sometimes forget that we’re fans of these shows as well so its always a battle between needing to know and wanting to know.
Lost was particularly good this past season so maybe we should just leave it alone and trust them to do the right thing with Hawkes and the last season of the show. Sure, let’s go with that. . . for now.
Lost returns to ABC for its final season in early 2010.

With both Land of the Lost and The Hangover opening, it looks to be a side-splitting weekend in the world of film. So, what better way to start it off than by watching an old Funny-or-Die classic in Will Ferrell’s Bat Fight.
If you’re wondering what’s up with Ferrell’s long platinum hair, the short was shot on the set of a The Flickcast favorite, Eastbound & Down while Ferrell was filming a cameo from last season. This parody short is about a game of both honor and diplomacy…oh, and killing your opponent with a baseball bat.
The short also stars The Office’s Craig Robinson. Check it out after the jump.
