This video is pretty great. Harrison Ford was a guest on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and agreed, reluctantly, to take some questions from the audience.
As expected, a few people in the audience had questions about the next Star Wars movie, which he didn’t really want to answer. What he didn’t expect was a certain Wookie to be in attendance. Things get out of hand from there.
Does he let the Wookie win? Find out for yourself after the break. Enjoy. We did.
Yes, the Oscars were last night and without putting too fine a point on it, Chris and Matt did reasonably well in predicting the outcome. The only real surprise of the night was Argo‘s win for Best Picture.
Sadly, this was probably a result of director Ben Affleck’s snub for a Best Director nomination. Still, it is nice to win Best Picture. Although, if you ask Argo producer Grant Heslov, who just couldn’t let it go, it wasn’t enough and we really need to know Ben Affleck was the Director of Argo.
No shit. Thanks for pointing that out. Look we get it, you’re angry your buddy didn’t get nominated. Sure, that hurts, but you need to let it go now. Ben is going to be just fine. . . and so are you.
We’re also glad Tarantino got a win for writing Django Unchained and it was nice to see Christoph Waltz take one for that movie as well. He did a great job in it. And lets not forget host Seth McaFarland. Great job Seth. You killed it.
Anyway, for a complete list of winners, click on through. Before that, however, take a look at the trailer for Jimmy Kimmel’s latest opus Movie: The Movie Part 2. It’s pretty funny.
Agree or disagree with their politics, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are just plain funny, no matter the situation. Recently, both men appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, which is being taped in Brooklyn this week.
There is a few ways to make a successful trailer parody. You can play on the cliche’s of a genre, or the general practice of that genre’s trailers. You can cram in big name celebs in roles that mock their drive for Oscar bait or general shamelessness. Or in the case of Jimmy Kimmel’s newest piece of genius you can shove that all in and more.
The trailer for the woe-fully fictional Movie: The Movie features a cavalcade of stars and some sharp satire that should delight anyone and everyone.
Highlights of the piece include Matt Damon’s grapes, black Hitler falling to earth on a meteor and of course Dame Helen Mirren in a hover craft. There is tons to chew on in the extra long trailer and even though it clocks in at close to ten minutes you might be compelled to watch it more than once.
If there is any justice in the world some one will fund a feature length Robo-Lawyer film staring Academy Award Winner Tom Hanks, but with our luck all we are going to get is a baby Kevin James and baby Jason Bateman buddy comedy.
While The Hangover Part II is projected to pull in $80 million this weekend, that hasn’t slowed down Zach Galifiniakis in his goal to produce on of the best (and cheapest) internet talk show out there.
On his show, which has been running for over a year now, he’s had guests like Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien, and Michael Cera all join in the awkward hilarity, and now he’s trying to top himself with his newest guest, Will Ferrell.
Straight from the set of The Office as Steve Carell’s temporary replacement, Ferrell stops by Two Ferns to compliment the atmosphere, show some new clips of monkeys, and feed the host fruit from his own mouth. There’s even a surprise appearance by a former guest.
Check out the episode after the jump, and see Galifiniakis in his Bangkok antics this weekend in The Hangover Part II.
We don’t usually get into what people in Hollywood like to call the “executive shuffle” here at The Flickcast. In the entertainment industry, its usually much more interesting to discuss the machinations of the “creatives” instead of the people who are in charge of studios, networks and the like.
However, in the case of someone like Jeff Zucker who, it could be argued, basically destroyed any credibility NBC has as a network and pretty much offended most people with his handling of the Conan O’Brien / Jay Leno deal, the situation does warrant commentary. Fortunately, smarter and funnier people than us have already done what’s necessary.
In this new video from our friends at Jimmy Kimmel Live, Zucker is given a chance to tell his side of the story in a news conference/music video. Sadly for him, but great for us, things don’t go exactly as he planned.
Now that we’re counting down to the finale of Lost in just hours, it’s fair to say that everybody is throwing their hat into the ring of Lost fanaticism. Jimmy Kimmel is at the top of that list with new Lost material just about every night, and he’ll have even more as he hosts a final goodbye to the cast in a special episode Sunday night.
In the meantime, he’s still cranking out some pretty solid skits and packages with some great cameo appearances by actors from the show. We already brought you a hilarious clip of the Parker Bros’ version of the game that Jacob and the Man in Black play, and now Jimmy explains how Jacob (Mark Pellegrino) has touched his life.
Check out the clip after the jump of when Jacob visited a young Jimmy Kimmel in high school, and be sure to keep an eye on ABC starting at 7pm EST Sunday night, as the block of Lost and Jimmy Kimmel Live will be enough to satisfy even the biggest of Lost fanatics.
Now that the countdown clock is ticking for the last episode of Lost to air (and everyone to be torn on the ending), even the most secretive of Lost fans are coming out of the woodwork to show their appreciation of the show in their own special ways. While Jimmy Kimmel is no secret fan, he’s certainly the most innovative.
Recapping this past week’s episode, Jimmy explained how Jacob and his mysteriously unnamed brother were stuck playing a simple game with white and black stones (signifying good vs. evil).
He then unveiled a brand new game, from the makers of Lost, which gives people stuck on an island for 2000 years a bit more to do. Check out the hilarious mock-commercial after the jump, and be sure to keep up as Lost counts down every Tuesday at 9PM on ABC.
Previously, we gave you some info about the new HBO show Hung, featuring Thomas Jane as a guy with problems, no money and no choice who ends up using the one big asset he has left to make a living. Yes, I’m talking about his penis. There, I said it. The show is about a guy who with a large penis who becomes a prostitute and uses his penis to make a living.
Moving past that, reviews of the show and mentions of it online have all made one “penis” joke or another because the show is, ostensibly, about a guy’s member and most people who write tv reviews these days, particularly online, tend to act like ten year old boys. Of course, the crazy kids at Jimmy Kimmel Live decided to take it one step further and made a video to show you exactly what that means. But really, can you blame them? The show is about a guy’s penis after all.
No, the video doesn’t feature any Thomas Jane nudity, sorry ladies. It is, however, quite funny and worth a look. Hung airs Sundays at 10PM on HBO. Check out the video after the jump.
