If you’ve been to McDonald’s recently you may have seen their latest pull tab giveaway is focusing on XBox. While Taco Bell is backing the PlayStation 4, Mickey D’s is going gung ho with Microsoft to push the XBox One, XBox Music, XBox Video and the XBox Live Arcade. Unlike previous giveaways like Monopoly where McDonald’s food items were up for grabs, everything that can be won from this promotion is XBox related. You’ll find the full breakdown of prizes below including the top prizes, XBox Ones with a copy of Forza Motorsport 5.
The one thing that stood out though were the XBox Live Arcade titles. All of them are on the 360. Now I understand the idea is to give people something they are more likely to be able to use like XBox Music, Video or Gold since they can be applied to either the XBox One or 360, but it seemed strange to not give games for the previous gen system and none for the XBox One. It’s true not every game could be redeemed for XBox One yet, especially since these seem to have limited codes, but it feels a little like the early adopters are getting ignored for their fervor to get the system early yet again.
That said, I was able to win the only game from Twisted Pixel Games that I didn’t already own, The Maw. It is currently downloading on my XBox 360 as the XBox One cools down from another busy weekend.
Take a look below at the full list of prizes and chick out One Hot Holiday for more details.
- XBox One & Forza Motorsport 5
- XBox Music Pass & XBox Live Gold 1 Month Membership
- XBox Live Gold 1 Month Membership
- The Maw for XBox 360
- Ms. Splosion Man for XBox 360
- Aqua for XBox 360
- The Wolverine Digital HD movie download
- Episode of a Fox Series: Enlisted, Bones, Raising Hope

The holidays are a time for giving and since the Flickcast appreciates what our readership does for us we are going to give back during the month of December. In our first of 4 holiday giveaways, we are giving out a brand new, unopened copy of the Skylanders Giants Starter Pack for XBox 360 from Activision. This includes a copy of the game, the Portal of Power, Giant Skylander Tree Rex, Series 2 Skylander Cynder and new Skylander Jet Blast.
Here’s how it’s going to work. Go to the Flickcast twitter feed, which can be found on the right side of our mean page or just on @theflickcast. There will be a post reading “RT this post in the next 7 days to win Skylanders Giants“. Please make sure you hit the Retweet button and not just quote it or we won’t be able to track your RT. On Friday the 14th, one random RT will be chosen and the winner will be sent a copy of the game.
Winner must live in the continental United States. Winner will be given 48 hours to reply to notification of winning or a new winner will be decided. Get RTing people!

Once the initial rush of new players began to slow down, Blizzard in their infinite wisdom allowed new players the chance to experience World of Warcraft for 14 days, free of charge. Though Blizzard hadn’t released the actual number of players who ended up becoming full subscribers, they stuck to this method for a number of years.
Now, with players at the 11,000,000 range, Blizzard has decided to switch things up a bit in a further effort to bring new players in to the World of Warcraft machine. Under this new structure, players will be given an unlimited amount of free play time on their account until their character reaches level 20.
Part of the reason behind this new strategy may lie in the fact that things come up out of no where in people’s lives unexpectedly and such a freak occurrence happening during a limited 14 day time frame may completely shut out the chance for this new player to experience what World of Warcraft has to offer. Instead, players are given the chance to experience Azeroth at their leisure, much like they are allowed to in a full version of the game.
There is no pressure to try and experience as much as you can in a short time span with this new system. There are, as expected, some restrictions to this Free-to-Play system though.

Earlier this year Zack Snyder stepped outside of his comic book world to do a film that looked like it belonged in a comic or video game, but came completely from his amusement park of a brain. That film, of course, was the action-packed blockbuster Sucker Punch.
For those who missed the action while it was in the theater, or loved it so much that you want to see it again at your leisure, we’ve got an awesome giveaway for you. Check in on our twitter account this Thursday for a Sucker Punch related trivia question, and you can win the following:
• $5 cable cash code
• Bomb Tee
• Bunny icon hat
• Sticker
• Post-it Pad
A pretty awesome prize pack for a pretty awesome film. And if you’re in the minority who has yet to check this movie out yet, check out the fully synopsis after the jump.
Be sure to keep an eye on our Twitter account this Thursday, June 23rd.

You may have missed it in theaters, but you’re getting the second chance to catch Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood in the comfort of your own home with a FREE iTunes download of the film.
Here’s the synopsis of the film, for those who missed it.
Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) directs a fantasy thriller that puts a haunting twist on the classic fairy tale. For years the villagers of Daggerhorn have maintained an uneasy truce with a werewolf – but the beast changes the stakes by killing the older sister of beautiful young Valerie (Amanda Seyfried). Promised in marriage to one man but in love with another, Valerie has her life dramatically affected yet again by the creature’s bloody actions.
When a werewolf hunter warns that the beast takes human form by day and walks among them, panic sets in as the death toll rises. And Valerie learns she has a unique connection to the wolf that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect…and bait. Gary Oldman, Billie Burke, Shiloh Fernandez, Max Irons, Virginia Madsen, Lukas Haas and Julie Christie also star.
Watch it your way, On Demand, For Download and on Blu-ray combo pack. http://bit.ly/j61o6l

At Toy Fair, Senario gave us a look at their latest line of the Zibits, a series of unique, collectible, miniature RC robots. Unlike most action figures from Toy Fair, the Zibits stood out to us at the Flickcast because they make a perfect little desktop toy.
They are cost effective ($10), small and geek friendly. What geek doesn’t want their own little robot servant?
Now while the Zibits are too tiny to do any real damage, they can definitely be a conversation piece or a time killer in any office. And that makes them perfect as a giveaway for the Flickcast.
How would you win such an awesome prize? Well, it’s simple! Just keep an eye on our Twitter account next week, and we’ll give you some classic robot trivia for you to answer. Get it right, and you can win!
In the meantime, take a look at another one of these cool RC Robots that you can win after the jump.

A few weeks ago, we reviewed Rock Band 3, letting you all know it still holds the title for the best party band game by far. One of our reasons for this is because of the ever expanding library of music constantly being added to it. Now, we mentioned we are going to be having a live event in Connecticut with some Rock Band 3 prizes coming up in December but until then we have some awesome DLC codes to give away for any Rock Band 3 owners over our twitter.
With the help of Harmonix’s own @HMXhenry we have acquired four codes to giveaway Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits packs for the XBox 360. The packs include three revamped Rock Band 3 pro guitar versions of “Livin’ on a Prayer”, “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Wanted Dead or Alive” in addition to nine new songs never before seen in the Rock Band series.
Check out the full list, and get the giveaway times after the jump.

It’s that time again! Twitter Giveaways are much like Christmas around the Flickcast hallways, except we don’t get anything, and it happens way more than once a year. Starring Darin Brooks, Bring It On’s Gabrielle Dennis and Smallville’s Sam Jones III, the football comedy has been referred to as “Friday Night Lights meets Entourage“. Now, you get to experience the entire first season all in one swoop.
How To Win:
1. If you aren’t already, follow us on Twitter @TheFlickcast.
2. Tweet out “I want to win Blue Mountain State S1 On DVD From @TheFlickcast”

At the recent Comic-Con in San Diego Mimoco, creators of the Mimbots custom collectors USB drives, revealed their latest exclusive addition to the Star Wars line with Lobot. Now, our friends over at Mimoco have given us one to give away to you the loyal Flickcast readers.
Lobot, for those of you who don’t know, was Lando Calrissian’s cyborg aide in The Empire Strikes Back. Now, he comes in USB form to celebrate the film’s 30th Anniversary in both 2GB and 16 GB varieties. Chosen as a throwback to the hardcore Star Wars fans, Lobot is meant to be fan service from a group of people who are watching Star Wars in the office at least once a week.
At Comic-Con we got the chance to talk with one of Mimoco’s representatives. They told us that the original concepts behind the Mimobots was using them as a way to merge art and technology. Lobot, in addition to being an anniversary piece for The Empire Strikes Back is also a fifth anniversary piece for Mimoco who started at Comic-Con five years ago. With well over 75 total designs, Lobot is another great example of the Star Wars line of Mimobots.
How To Win:
1. Follow us on Twitter @TheFlickcast
2. Tweet Out “I Want To Win A Lobot Mimobot @TheFlickcast!”
3. Sit back and wait as we pick a winner form among those who tweeted the phrase!
