That’s right, it’s a new year and another new episode of The Flickcast. Let’s keep it rolling!
Even though we’ve dropped a few episodes this year already, we never really got a chance to say “Happy New Year” yet (or did we?). So anyway, here it is . . . and what a new year it’s turned out to be. Things are definitely looking up!
On this week’s show Chris and Joe go deep into the new Marvel/Disney+ show WandaVision and discuss their personal theories about the characters, what’s happening on the show and what’s with those weird commercials. They also talk about Sam Esmail’s upcoming version of Battlestar Galactica, more on The Expanse (which is having an amazing season), why other shows like Supernatural and Stargate had such long runs, upcoming movie and TV versions of Dungeons & Dragons and what the hell happened with Game of Thrones.
Picks are also back this week with Joe choosing the show Letterkenny, which is now on Hulu, and Chris picking the Judd Apatow 2020 film The King of Staten Island with Pete Davidson, Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr and Bel Powley.
It’s another big show. Let’s keep 2021 going in the right direction. Thanks for listening!

It’s a brand new episode of The Flickcast. In fact, it’s an extra bonus episode just for International Podcast Day! What’s better than one episode of The Flickcast in a week? Two episodes! That’s right.
On this “positive and looking forward” episode Chris and Joe get deep into all the things they’re looking forward to watching and listening to through the end of 2020 and beyond. They also look back on a few of the things they’ve enjoyed during the unusual times we’re living in.
Some of the topics covered include the movies Hackers and Swordfish, the Doctor Who Experience, Y: The Last Man, Mandalorian Season 2, Star Trek: Discovery Season 3, the next James Bond film, upcoming Marvel TV series and movies like Wandvision, Falcon & Winter Soldier and Black Widow and of course, Joe’s favorite band Marillion.
They also manage to talk about a certain world event (but just a little), further developments in film and television production and therapy through podcasting. Plus, of course, the usual more.

That’s right, it’s apparently time for an all-new episode of The Flickcast. Apologies for being late, but at least you have something to entertain you on a Monday.
On this week’s show Chris and Joe talk about all sorts of stuff including podcasting coming to Google Play (here’s a link to The Flickcast, btw), the future of public transport, the upcoming new Star Trek series, James Cameron’s latest plans for Avatar sequels, the Defenders series on Netflix, Mr. Robot, Hollywood’s latest horrible thing and assholes who talk or text in movie theaters. Plus, there’s the usual more, more, more.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight and Joe’s pick of the band The Dan Reed Network.

It’s Friday again (well, Saturday if you’re being technical) and time for a new episode of The Flickcast. Sadly, this isn’t an episode devoted entirely to the new Star Wars movie. That will have to wait until next week.
It is, however, a damn fine episode. Here’s what you can expect from it: Star Trek: Beyond!, X-Men: Apocalypse!, Independence Day: Resurgence!, Mr. Robot Season Two! And a whole lot more! Don’t worry, we’ll stop using exclamation points now . . .until next time.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the Showtime Documentary The Spymasters: CIA in the Crosshairs and Joe’s pick of the Syfy Channel mini-series Childhood’s End, based on the classic novel by Arthur C. Clarke. But if you don’t want spoilers, might want to wait to click on that link after you’ve watched.

It’s Friday and you know what what means? Happy hour and a drunken stupor that lasts until Monday? Sure, why not?
However, it also means it’s time for a brand new episode of The Flickcast! Speaking of that . . .
On this week’s show Chris and Joe talk more about the upcoming Star Wars movie, the potential MST3K revival, Heroes Reborn, Blindspot and wax nostalgic about Mr. Robot. They also discuss The Flash, Arrow, The Walking Dead and don’t hold back their feelings on a potential Snowpiercer TV series.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the movie Spectre, and Joe’s pick of the recent performance of Peter Capaldi as “The Doctor” in that show about the Doctor who travels through time.

That’s right, it’s time for an all-new episode of The Flickcast! Finally. We had some issues this week. What are you gonna do? At least it’s out now, so enjoy!
On this week’s show Chris and Joe get down to the end. Well, the end of a couple TV shows anyway with the season finales of The Last Ship and the much-discussed Mr. Robot. There’s also some talk about the new The Force Awakens teaser, Star Wars in general, the need for more Batman in the next Superman movie, the genius of Jack Kirby and a whole lot more.
Picks this week include Chris’ pick of the book Kirby: King of Comics
and Joe’s pick of the new album from the band Spock’s Beard.
