To celebrate the home entertainment release of the X-Men: Days of Future Past Rogue Cut Blu-ray on July 14th, fans at San Diego Comic-Con were treated to a special advance screening of the extended version of the film. Shown on four screens simultaneously at the Reading Cinema in downtown San Diego on Saturday, July 11, the Rogue Cut features an extra 17 minutes of footage including bringing Anna Paquin’s Rogue into the film’s main plot.
The additional scenes add some more humor and action to the film. It’s important to note that although the Rogue storyline accounts for probably 50% of the extra footage, the other 50% is equally as golden. Highlights of the later portions include some very funny bantering between Quicksilver and Magneto and a romantic scene between Beast and Mystique. Several fans at the SDCC screening pointed out they had already seen these portions online as deleted scenes.
As for the Rogue bits, they fit and strangely enough they seem essential to the plot. Sadly, since we’ve all seen how the film carries on without, they end up feeling more superfluous than they were intended to be. That said, that Bryan Singer was able to take Rogue out and still make Days of Future Past work and work well is commendable. It couldn’t have been easy to re-work scenes, dialogue, and climatic moments all to remove one character.

Each time new trailers, photos or whatever drops from this upcoming movie, we get even more excited. Not that that’s really possible at this point as we’re already about as excited as you can get
There’s no doubt, we’re seeing this one opening day (or sooner, if possible). Yes, as the title says, we’re talking about X-Men: Days of Future Past.
There’s a new trailer out now and yes, it looks awesome. In this movie Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) goes back in time 50 years to alter history and hopefully prevent some bad shit from going down.
Does he succeed? Probably. But along the way you can be sure he kicks a lot of ass. As you might expect.
Along for the ride in this one, besides Jackman, are James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Omar Sy, Nicholas Hoult and more.
Look for X-Men: Days of Future Past to arrive on May 23. Check out the trailer after the break.

Say what you will about Bryan Singer’s take on the X-Men, but at least his was way better than what that other guy did with X-Men: Last Stand. Jeez, what a mess that was.
And don’t get us started on his desire to do a Battlestar Galactica movie. We’ve covered that, but it’s not the point right now. This is about the X-Men.
Anyway, Singer has been working on a new X-Men movie, a sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s excellent X-Men: First Class, and now there’s a new trailer for it for all to see.
In it we get a good look at the movie and the mutants who will be joining forces to battle the Sentinels. And yes, that list is pretty impressive.
Check out the trailer after the break. Look for X-Men: Days of Future Past to hit theaters on May 23, 2014.

With former and current hits like The Sopranos or Game of Thrones, it’s nice HBO hasn’t forgotten about its other series. In particular, a little one called True Blood that’s done pretty well for itself.
So well, in fact, that the show is about to return for its sixth season. And yes, we’ve got a brand new promo for that season to share with you today.
In it you’ll see a lot of what to expect from the coming season. It’s also interesting to see how the show is going to progress given that creator Alan Ball has moved over to do Banshee on Cinemax.
The show returns on June 16 for a ten-episode run. Yes, that’s a bit shorter than usual, but don’t worry, we’re sure it will be just as good.
Check out the promo after the break.

When it was announced that Matthew Vaughn was leaving the director’s chair for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the geek community felt an inescapable fear that things might be falling apart. Even the seemingly good news that original X-Director Bryan Singer was coming back didn’t seem to dissuade the growing fear that Fox was once again messing up the X-Men.
Then the online nerd populous started putting two and two together. If the next film was going to tackle one of the most famous comic book time travel stories, and the director was the guy who made the first two great X-Men movies, would we be getting a giant cross generational X-Men X-travaganza?
Well, the answer seems to be a resounding yes, and according to the twitter account of Bryan Singer himself it keeps getting better:
Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage &@shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you @BrettRatner for letting them live!

Some of you may be thinking that this season’s True Blood isn’t as good as previous ones. To that we say “Heck no.” We’re liking it just fine, thank you.
With only three more episodes to go for the season, things are really starting to heat up with loyalties being questioned, new alliances being formed and lots and lots of blood-soaked sex. We’re loving every minute of it.
Okay, not every minute. The Lafayette and Terry stories are kinda slowing things down, but I guess that’s what you get with an ensamble cast. Not everyone gets to be involved in the “A” story of vampire revolution.
Still, we’ll keep watching — if only to see what crazy shit Russell does next or how Eric is gonna punish the usurper who dares to sit in his chair at Fangtasia. To help get us (and you) ready for this Sunday’s new episode, we’ve got some previews for it. Find them, as usual, after the break,
True Blood airs Sunday at 9PM on HBO.

It’s Comic-Con time so it seems appropriate to have some new clips previewing Sunday night’s all-new episode of True Blood. After all, the show is very successful, has legions of fans and also has quite a presence at the Con.
So, that brings us to the clips. We’ve got two for you and they’re titled “Sookie’s Gross” and “Jason’s Promise.” We can’t know for sure what those titles mean, but we can probably guess.
“Sookie’s Gross” probably means, well, you know, she’s gross. Probably because she did the nasty with a werewolf. Vampires don’t like that.
As for “Jason’s Promise” we can only surmise that Jason promises that he will or won’t do something. See, it doesn’t take a rocket doctor to figure these things out, does it?
Check them both out after the break. True Blood airs on HBO Sunday night at 9/8C.

With season five of True Blood in full swing, things have really started to get interesting. All sorts of cool things are happening to our favorite vampires, and vampire lovers, and this season looks to just keep getting better.
We’ve got some previews for this Sunday’s new episode (We like to call it Episode 53. Catchy, no?) to share with you today. In them you get a taste of what’s in store for Sookie, Eric, Bil, Pam, Jason and the rest of the gang this week. One guess, things don’t go exactly as planned and The Authority is pissed. Shocker!
Check out both previews after the break. Look for True Blood at 9/8C on HBO.

After a long wait, HBO’s True Blood came back with a vengeance last week and saw the return of all our favorite Bon Temps residents. As was normal for the show, it wasted no time and got several of the characters in trouble with more surely on the way.
The story continues this Sunday and to get you ready we’ve got a couple preview videos for the episode to share. In them we get some clues as to the nature of The Authority and find out what happens when Sookie and Lafayette try to make a vampire with Pam’s help.
Let’s just say things don’t go exactly as they’d hoped, for anyone. But whatever happens, we’re glad to have True Blood back.
Check out the preview videos after the break. Look for True Blood on Sunday at 9/8C on HBO.

Loving the amnesia, ghost dad, and were-panther rape storylines happening in this season of True Blood? HBO thinks so, as they have officially OK’d a fifth season of the vampire-loving series based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
This season we have seen some pretty impressive story devices, from villification of our favorite characters to new love triangles to a few dead characters, the hits keep coming in the fourth season of this popular HBO series. Here’s what HBO has to say about bringing it back for another 12 episodes.
“I am thrilled that True Blood continues to enjoy a phenomenal reception from both subscribers and critics,” says HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo. “Alan Ball and his gifted team have devised the greatest thrill ride on TV.”
Ball adds, “I remain amazed and delighted by the enthusiasm of our viewers. I can’t imagine having more fun than this.”

Let’s face it, HBO’s vampire show True Blood keeps getting more interesting and fun each week. After a bit of an off start, this new season seems to have found its stride delivering all the drama, sex, action and pathos a TV series could ask for.
As we do most Fridays, we’ve got new clips that give you a preview of this Sunday’s all-new episode. These clips, which are called “Andy Lends Holly a Hand,” Lafayette and Jesus Visit His Grandfather,” and Tara Receives a Visitor” give us some nice insight into Sunday’s episode.
Not only that, we’ve got another bonus video for you: a preview of things to come for the rest of the season. No need to thank us, we like doing it.
Click through for the videos. True Blood airs Sunday at 9/8C on HBO.
